I quit.  I have been trying for hours to try to upload photos and no luck.  The young man and his family have left, so cannot get him to help.  I will keep an eye on all new guests.
Anyone under 35will probably know what to do. Lol.

Now I cannot access my photos.     I am getting really upset.

OMG I installed an update an hour ago and blogger didn't work.  I began to ask each guest as they were going for breakfast if they knew ipads.
.  Finally one man said he would ask the son I had not yet questioned.  This lovely young 18? Year old tapped and tapped.  I have no idea what he did, but blogger is back again.  Thank God for lovely, IT smart, young Frenchmen.

A group of Italian artists who were attending the local art school volunteered to paint some of the walls in the new area. Sheherazade is the name of the hotel, so the scenes are from the book of 1001 Nights with Sheherazade captivating the king with her stories.

Finally recovered from sleep deprivation and time zone changes.  Ready to take on the world, but first I must try to figure out why my entire post deletes when I only want to delete a letter or word.  Writing my posts over and over and over is not my idea of a good way to spend my time.

After lunch I am going to explore the artwork on the walls around the pool restaurant, pool, and garden area.  It is all new.

Two of Mohamed's children,  Sheherazade and Mahmoud, are clearly delighted with their big box of Halloween chocolate bars and the laptop.

With thanks to Kam, Tony, and Ahmad my old MacBook Air will now live in Luxor.  With restorative surgery, including an operating system upgrade, it will live a long and happy life here.

I arrived safe and sound yesterday morning.  I was tired but, resisted going to sleep until about 8 p.m.

This post is a test because I am having an issue posting.

I have just realized that I can have new posts sent directly to friends by email, so I have added this function to all I know who follow my trips.  As I am new to this, I hope I have done it correctly.
It will be a surprise to find out that I am returning to Egypt in four days.  Guess what?  It was surprise to me, too.  Just two weeks ago, in a conversation with a friend who asked if I had made any travel plans, I stated I was just too tired to go away now.  A few days later I realized that a trip was just what the doctor would have ordered had I gone to one :).  Must get busy packing.

It's that time of year again.  The trees are showing off their gorgeous colours, and the leaves are beginning to fall.  The temperatures are falling, although this is a particularly warm fall.  Nevertheless, it is time to think of that fall vacation, and I have.

Today I got my tickets for another visit to Egypt.  I only have five days to get ready.  I leave home at 7:00 am on Monday and it is Tuesday night now.  This trip will be from October 23 to December 7th. I know I will be returning just when it is getting really cold here and the snow and ice will have their time in the limelight.  That's ok because I could just leave again in February, right!

I fly from Toronto to Cairo and then connect for the short flight to Luxor.  This time I only have 1 1/5 hrs between flights.  That is pretty tight, so I hope I make it.

I am returning to the Hotel Sheherazade which actually feels like a second home now.  I will be met at the airport and driven to "my room".  Remember my little terrace.  And don't forget the fresh flowers that Amin brings me.

Yes, I am getting excited.
